






Peru – “Cuyo Chico’s Jewelry Workshop”
ITINERARY:
The Cuyo Chico community will welcome the visitors with music and exchange of traditional costume, then the visitors will participate in a jewelry-making workshop with an expert master, the local guide. First, the activity will start in the field for the extraction of clay, each person will go with their respective tool to extract the clay, such as a pestle and shovel, and bags and ponchos, so that each person can carry the clay after extraction and take it to the jewelry-making processing workshop, where a part of the materials is already prepared to start with the jewelry, ceramics, and crafts workshop.
In the jewelry-making workshop, the molding of different works is elaborated:
• Incan figures
• Kitchen utensils such as glasses, plates, cups
• Ocarinas as animal figures
• Chess games
• Necklaces of different sizes and models
Then, the products and crafts made of clay are baked for cooking. Once the products are baked, it is necessary to wait until they cool down, and choose the materials to wash the finished products with water, and then paint them with natural pigments. Finally, the finished products are exhibited and sold voluntarily to the visitors.
